The Davenport Fire Department is investigating the cause of a Sunday morning fire in the 800 block of East 14th Street.
Firefighters responded to a call at 8:30 a.m. of a fire that started in the wall of a kitchen in a second-floor apartment, District Chief Paul Hartman said.
No one was injured.
Three adults and two children who were evacuated from the apartment are being assisted by the American Red Cross of the Quad-Cities Area, agency spokesperson Linda Parker said.
Hartman said the fire was confined to the kitchen wall and produced little smoke and some damage.
