IOWA CITY — Authorities say a bouncer at an Iowa City bar has found his stolen driver’s license, thanks to a would-be customer who used it to try to get into the nightspot.
Police say 19-year-old Steven Fiorella presented the license to the bouncer at The Union Bar early Saturday morning.
The bouncer, who is not named in the police report, recognized his ID and called police.
Police say Fiorella also had the bouncer’s stolen debit card. The items were stolen in February. Police say Fiorella said he bought them for $20.
Fiorella was arrested and charged with theft and unlawful use of another person’s ID.
A public phone listing for Fiorella could not be found. Online court records don’t list his attorney’s name.
