A 38-year-old Teeds Grove, Iowa, man was killed early this morning in a one-vehicle crash in rural northeastern Clinton County, authorities said.
Clinton County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched at 1:59 a.m. to an accident at the intersection of 410th Avenue and 115th Street. Authorities said the driver, Chad M. Miller, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clinton County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Clinton County Sheriff’s Lt. Tom Paarmann said Miller was southbound on 410th Avenue and failed to negotiate a curve where the road turns into 115th Street. The vehicle entered the south ditch, rolled over and came to rest on its right side. The accident occurred about 3 miles northeast of Miles.
The crash remains under investigation by Clinton County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa State Patrol.
The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by Andover Fire and Ambulance, the Clinton County Medical Examiner’s Office, Preston Police and the Iowa State Patrol.
