Nahant Marsh Education Center, Davenport, is introducing “Muddy Boots Nature Club,” a program geared toward fostering young people’s understanding of and appreciation for nature.
The club will give youth ages 6-12 the chance to learn about their natural world through education and outdoor recreation. Each session will include a presentation, hands-on activity, and the opportunity to get up and get outdoors.
The next program is 3-4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The summer schedule will begin June 6, continuing 2-3:30 p.m. every other Wednesday (except holidays).
The cost is $3 per session, but scholarships are available, and interested participants are asked to register by calling 563-323-5196 or e-mailing nahantmarsh@eicc.edu or going to the website www.nahantmarsh.org.
There also is an opportunity to become a full-time club member for $50.
